JOB VACANCY IN TRANSPORT AND LOGISTIC COMPANY (Bsc/HND): HEAD, HAULAGE DIVISION

Position: Head, Haulage Division

Reporting Line: To the CEO

Supervising: 4 Business Units Nationwide

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø      Responsible for the achievement of Haulage Division Target.

Ø      Implement Company haulage, strategy, policy, procedures and practices

Ø      Participate in and advise Management on Truck charter contract negotiations, dedicated trucks relationships, etc

Ø      Ensure smooth implementation of Haulage agreements and customer satisfaction

Ø      Establish standards and ensure compliance in company haulage operations and logistics management, e.g. crew management, truck deployment and monitoring, fueling, etc

Ø      Ensure prompt credit collection and effective cost management

Ø      Engage in business development activities to grow existing business

Ø      Put in place and enforce control measures that regulate/check the excesses of crew/ground operations staff to minimize losses: adopt best practices in fleet deployment to maximize capacity and minimize waste.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

Ø      Degree/HND in Automobile Engineering/Transport Management

Ø      Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience in Transport and logistics

Ø      Good interpersonal skills

Ø      Articulate with excellent communication skills

Ø      Computer literacy with working knowledge of spread sheet/excel

Ø      Planning and execution skills

Ø      Age not more than 45
